Patsy began her early artistic career in the green valleys of Co. Carlow, Ireland. She moved to Europe to attend college in Paris and visited her family in Germany and England regularly. Patsy began painting while on her travels, mainly watercolors and pencil drawing. Traveling the globe from Southeast Asia to the Caribbean, she began to show and sell her artwork in the early 1980’s in St. Barts, French West Indies. Moving to America she became a member of the Nantucket Artist’s Association and was co-owner of an art gallery in New England with the British designer Sarah Horne. Currently living in Charlottesville, she has shown at the McGuffy Art Center, Café Cubano, and the New Dominion Bookstore. She is a member of the Hazel Street Artists. Patsy is well known for her paintings of the Charlottesville City Market where she paints “en plein air” every Saturday morning in season.
